Vance ImmigrationLaw

How it works

A clear process, from first call to approval.

Immigration is stressful enough. We keep every step structured, transparent, and managed — so you always know where your case stands.

1Day 1

Free consultation

We start with a free 30-minute call by phone or Zoom. You tell us your situation and goals; we tell you honestly which pathways are realistic — and which are not.

2Week 1

Case assessment

A lawyer reviews your full profile — work history, education, language, family — and maps out the strongest route, with a clear timeline and an honest read on your odds.

3Weeks 2–8

Document preparation

We build your application from scratch. Every form, letter, and supporting document is prepared and quality-checked in-house — no templates, no shortcuts.

4Ongoing

Submission & tracking

We file your application and monitor it closely. If an officer requests anything further, we respond quickly and keep you informed at every stage.

5On decision

Approval & support

When the decision arrives, we guide you through landing, settlement, and your next steps — whether that is a work permit, citizenship, or sponsoring family.

Meet the founder

Sarah Vance

Founding Partner · J.D., Member of the Law Society of Ontario

“Immigration law is not about paperwork. It is about families and futures — and that is how we treat every single file.”

Sarah founded Vance Immigration Law in 2013 after a decade practising at two of Toronto’s largest immigration firms, where she saw too many clients treated as case numbers. She built Vance on a simple promise: every applicant speaks directly to a lawyer, and every application is built from the ground up for that person’s profile. Sarah has personally guided more than 1,200 clients to permanent residence and is a frequent speaker on Express Entry strategy. She believes immigration law is, at its heart, about families and futures — not paperwork.

Once you receive an Invitation to Apply and submit a complete application, IRCC aims to process most Express Entry permanent residence applications within six months. The longer and less predictable part is usually the time spent in the pool waiting for an invitation, which depends on your CRS score and current draw cut-offs. A well-built profile can shorten that wait considerably.
