Vance ImmigrationLaw

Our story

Vance Immigration Law was founded on a frustration — and a belief.

After ten years at two of Toronto’s largest immigration firms, Sarah Vance had watched the same thing happen too many times. Clients making the most important decision of their lives — uprooting their families, betting their futures on a new country — were handed off to junior staff, processed through templates, and left in the dark for months at a time.

She believed immigration work deserved better. In 2013 she opened a small office on Bay Street with one principle: every client speaks to a lawyer, and every application is built from the ground up. No templates. No call centres. No case numbers.

Eleven years later, Vance Immigration Law is a six-person firm that has guided more than 2,400 clients to Canadian residency — and that founding principle has not changed. We are deliberately not the biggest firm in Toronto. We are the one that knows your name.

What we believe

Three principles, every case.

Honesty before optimism

If a pathway is not realistic, we tell you in the first call. We would rather lose a client than take a case we do not believe will succeed.

Precision in everything

Immigration is unforgiving of error. Every form, every date, every document is checked and re-checked before anything is filed.

People, not paperwork

Behind every file is a family and a future. We treat your case the way we would want our own family’s case handled.
